Melinda Ginne, Ph.D.
I have specialized in the treatment of the
psychological aspects of acute, chronic, or life-threatening illnesses since 1980.
I work with patients and their family members to help them
understand and cope with illnesses and to fully understand treatment options, including
complementary medicine options. I provide patient education,
advocacy, support and I facilitate coordination of the patient's care
with their other providers.

- Plato, Charmides, 380 BC

IN MY OWN WORDS™
Video Advance Directives
Terri Schiavo taught the nation an unforgettable lesson - the indisputable value of having an advance directive.
IN MY OWN WORDS™ is an advance directive video recording service to supplement and enhance written
directives. The video will record you describing "in my own words" how you want to be
taken care of in the event you are unable to advocate for yourself.
Copies of the video can be sent to your family, physician, attorney, stored on the Web, a cell phone or an SD card.
